The Mantua Urban Peace Garden project, located in the Mantua neighborhood of West Philadelphia, was a total reimagining of the existing community garden. In partnership with other volunteers and the Community Design Collaborative, the team met with the neighborhood and governing board to understand the goals and potential of the existing space, as well as what worked and what needed changed. 

The result is a space designed for people of all ages and levels of experience. A place where community building and interaction is at the forefront and not just an added benefit. There are flex spaces and education areas, as well as meditative meandering paths and water features.
