NEW KINGDOM SPORTS FACADE

New Kingdom Sports is a retail space in North Kensington that sells sportswear as well as other odds and ends. This project was a rebrand and facade overhaul in partnership with the Community Design Collaborative and the North Kensington Community Development Corp.

The clients goals were an overall update of the facade and branding, as well as the removal of an existing dilapidated overhang that was unsafe and was allowing unwanted loitering near the entrance. The updated facade design was intended to harken back to the more classical pieces of other facades in the area with a paneling system that accentuates the storefront while hiding the roll down gates and gooseneck light fixtures to provide more light and security.
